Fairfield/Vacaville is a proposed railroad station in Fairfield, California, USA which would serve the communities of Fairfield and Vacaville. Construction is expected to begin in 2011, following an environmental impact study, with completion slated for 2013. The entire projected is budgeted at $40 million, including parking, bus facilities, and the construction of an overpass to carry Peabody Road over the railroad tracks. When completed, the station will see several dozen Capitol Corridor trains operated by Amtrak California.[1] The proposed site is adjacent to Travis Air Force Base.
